Lab Test Centre
At Jeffery Hale, we perform lab tests on samples (blood tests, urine, stool, etc.) to help your doctor diagnose an illness, find out how well your medication is working, do a routine screening, etc.
What to bring with you to your visit:
- A prescription from your doctor
- A valid RAMQ health insurance card. If you have do not have a Quebec health card, you can pay to have your test done. We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and debit cards.
- A Jeffery Hale hospital card (need one?)
Please note that you may need to fast (not eat or drink) before certain tests, such as cholesterol or blood sugar (pre-test instructions for a blood test with fasting). This varies from test to test and even doctor to doctor. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or call our receptionist at 418 684-JEFF (5333), ext. 0.

Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Walk-in (no appointment)
Monday to Friday 1:00 to 3:15 p.m.
Please note that walk-in clients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. If you arrive before 1:00 p.m., please register at the admission counter to get your name on the waiting list (the admission counter is located at the emergency just inside the main entrance) .

The Lab Test Centre is located on the main floor Jeffery Hale, behind the Outpatient Clinic reception area (look for the signs: "Prélèvements - Lab Test Centre") (open level 1 floor map)
